FLASHPOINT on FIRST WildCard

Yup, another cool tour of Flashpoint: Book One of the Underground, this time on FIRST's WildCard.

First of all, what is F.I.R.S.T.? The acronym stands for Fiction In Rather Short Takes. It is a book blog tour organization directed by Mimi Pearson (moderated by Deena Peterson and Cami Tang). Likely you've see the brown logo on various book review sites . . . The group members post information about the touring book and the author, then add the entire first chapter of the book for readers to check out. FIRST is organized into several tours: fiction, teen fiction, non-fiction and WildCard which can be any of the above. For more information and to sign-up to be a part of the FIRST tour group, go to FIRST Blog Alliances.

Okay, back to Flashpoint's tour. On WildCard, blog members request to read a book and then post the information provided. Sometimes, a member may even post a review. During Flashpoint's tour, 6 members went above and beyond to provide some nice reviews or comments for the book. The links below will take you there:

Book Mark Cafe: (review at the top of the page)
Word Up!: (bottom of post)
Pam's Private Reflections: (bottom)
Mimi's Pixie Corner: (top)
Cornhusker Academy: (under the Flashpoint title)

Leave a comment and let the bloggers know you stopped by! tell 'em Frank sent you.

Interviewed on Where the Map Ends

If you've a few minutes and any interest, check out my interview at Jeff Gerke's Where the Map Ends. He also asks interviewees to submit a sample of their work; my short story, "Whiskey in the Jar," is located on his Special Features page.

It is a privilege to be interviewed on important Christian speculative fiction sites like Where the Map Ends and
Yellow 30 Sci-Fi.

And, I just received notification that my debut novel, Flashpoint, is mentioned along with some great novels on Cathi Hassan's suggested reading list for young adults! You can check out the entire list on her
Shoutlife blog or on Cathi's Chatter. Thanks Cathi; it is a real privilege to be on the recommended list from a teacher.
