I don't know if the French Quarter was a good place for a cat in some ways, but you must have loved all the fresh fish smells in the air down there (well, if the booze didn't overwhelm them). And surely you got to see the Coast while you were that close? That bridge over Lake Ponchetrain was too long and scary looking for me when I was there. But your dad has a lot more nerve than me anyway when he drives.
